Trees provide community and companionship; we live and love in their shadow. Home to bird and bug, man and beast alike; the tree asks nothing in return but a place to spread it's branches in the sun and a patch of earth to put down roots. It won't come when you call, but it's dogged permanence in spite of the wild twists and turns of our own peripatetic lives is what charms us so. So giving is the tree, it synthesizes the very oxygen we breathe; a dandy bit of magic indeed!"
