Curator’s Statement: "The initial concept was a call for work that could be touched and handled but gradually moved into the conceptual context of the word. Artists combine tactile elements, textures, imagery conjured from memory, and reactions to passion and conflict. In this iteration, we explore the word as it emerges from the senses and can be experienced visually as well as kinesthetically."
